Last weekend I heard that St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock died in a car accident. It was kind of sad, and I'm not even a Cardinals fan.
But then I read this.
Apparently, he crashed with another car while driving on the highway.
While he was drunk.
While not wearing a seat belt.
With marijuana in the car.
While talking on a cell phone.
So I suddenly don't feel nearly as bad for the guy. It's still a very sad thing when someone dies, especially someone with talent who was able to entertain millions of people, and I don't think he "deserved" to die.
But still: Yeesh.
