Dad: Do you want to talk to your mother?
Me: Sure.
Dad: (to me) I'm not sure where she is. (to house at large) Honey?
(mumbled response from the Mother)
Dad: (to me) She's in the bathroom. (to mom) Do you want to talk to your daughter?
(mumbled response from the Mother)
Dad: (to me, laughing) She says that she has three pages left and she'll call you when she's done.
But she was reading the book I recommended to her.
I just got an email from a boy I used to date and it has made me insanely happy. And all of the drama that fills my sister's life never fails to entertain me. It's probably pretty bad that I find the angst in her life so delightful from 1200 miles away. I'm sure to have a huge karmic retribution coming my way. I sure do deserve one.
