I seem to have shot myself in the foot with one of my committee members. I brought her on board because she's brilliant with qualitative methods. It seems I underestimated her enmity towards quantitative methods. Damn, damn, damn. Suddenly, she's wanting to make every question a "quant vs. qual" critique (expecting qual to win out every time). That is not the point of this test. Yes, I can see the method critique within the METHOD question, but not in the others. It's not that I can't do it, it's just not appropriate. I'm trying to get the different types of methods to make friends: to come together in wonderful unity and peace and happiness. It can be done, she just doesn't trust me to make an argument about it that would persuade her. (Actually, she's so set and close minded about the evils of quant that I probably can't). *sigh* I'll just run to my advisor and have her fix this situation. Crap. I should have done what Lisa did and get a whole bunch of "yes men" who would just pass me if my advisor told them to pass me. But noooooo. I had try and be ethical and comprehensively inquisitive about the whole thing.

I also had a terrible bloody accident involving a banana. So now I hate the r, t, f, g, v, and b keys.
