Five years vs. The rest of my life

It has been a bad week. It's been so bad that the only thing
that's keeping me from just quitting everything is the fact that I've
been working for five years already to get here and it would be such a
waste stop now.
Although I've always kind of known this, what I'm trying to do with my life boils down to me preaching to the choir. No matter how hard I work or how right I am, the people who actually need to listen to what is being said won't. I just can't understand why I'm putting myself through all of this. I'm exhausted.
