It's not even noon...
Jan. 17th, 2006 11:41 amI had a very unusual dream last night. In it, I was in my bedroom
(which was no longer in my apartment, but a more public place) and I
was trying to get to sleep. Suddenly, from the floor at the foot
of my bed where the dog's pillow is, I saw movement. Since my dog
is supposed to be a thousand miles away, I screamed bloody
murder. In the dream, at my screaming, suddenly, the chair of my
department (who had been sleeping on the dog pillow at the foot of my
bed) pops his head up and starts shushing me and telling me to go back
to sleep because I have a lot of work to do the next day.
Odd. I wonder if it means anything. After the dream woke me up, I was too disturbed to get back to sleep. I also started planning the chi-squared analyses I need to run today to finish my revisions, so I just stayed up.
Then my mom called this morning to tell me that my old advisor died of cancer this weekend. *SAD* He was very old and she said that he went quickly, but he was a nice man and it's a shame he's no longer with us.
So today has been very strange and it's taking me a while to find my bearings.
