starzki | Not good at all.

It seems I'm at the mercy of insomnia again. Three nights/mornings in a row. It's good that I'm on vacation and that I'm not playing "race the alarm clock" in how much sleep I get. It's just frustrating that I wake up at 4:30, stay up to anywhere from 6:30 to 8:30 before falling asleep again. Then I sleep until 10:30 and have wasted my whole dang morning.

Enough complaining.

Yesterday was fine. I spent New Year's Eve with my parents and an older couple who live next door. Because I'm a party animal. We played liars' dice for three straight hours and I lost $5 because I'm a horrible liar.

I went to a movie with J yesterday. She's leaving for school tomorrow. :( We saw The Family Stone. Not a bad movie. I liked it, I guess.
Going to see Brokeback Mountain has become less of a whim and more of a quest. At first, I just thought, "Hey, I heard this movie was good. I think I want to see it." Then, now that I have a plethora of free time and some extra Christmas cash to spend on movies, I just can't seem to get to that particular film. First of all, my brother (and constant movie companion when we're both home) refuses to see it. My sister is not interested, either. J said she would see it with me and I got all excited. My hopes were seriously high. We get to the theater yesterday and there's a note stuck to the ticket booth stating that the area paper made a mistake in advertising that they were showing Brokeback Mountain at that theater and that they were "sorry for the inconvenience." No theaters that are nearby are showing the movie and the ones that are are in strange, confusing parts of the city 40 miles away. However, my stubborn nature has kicked in and, now, I will find a way to see this movie even if it kills me. The powers that be will NOT stop me from seeing this movie!!!

I think boredom has gotten the better of me. I should not be left with so little to do for such a long period of time. ;-P
