Finally. A good day.
Nov. 22nd, 2005 10:42 pmHot water heater fixed: Check. (Turned out that I needed to mess with my circuit breaker.)
Computer at work fixed: Check. (It was the cable from the monitor to the computer.)
It also turns out that a whole bunch of messed up crap at work that I thought was my fault actually wasn't. As big of a moron as I can be sometimes, not everything bad that happens is because of something I did.
Now, it's fixing to be turkey time. I eat dead birds twice a year and I am looking forward to Thursday. Plus, I'm going over to g-ma's tomorrow and get to be with the puppy again. He's my favorite.
The actual day is looking to get interesting. There's a kind of family feud going on between the g-ma and one of my cousins and my uncle (my mom's sister's husband) has gotten into the middle of it. So there is tension and I thought, up until an hour ago, that he and his daughters (my cousins) weren't going to show. But now, it looks like they might. That either means that they're planning a reconciliation or planning to completely destroy the holiday for everyone else. (My money's on the latter.) While most of me wants them all to make up, a part of me does just want there to be less people in the house.
I just want to eat some turkey. Really, it's only one of two non-fish dead animal concessions I make. I get along with anybody and everybody. Don't take my happiness at Thanksgiving away from me!
