It went poorly

starzkiI am not long for coed soccer.
While we actually won last night, I got tossed around a bit, nearly got into a fight, and had the shit kicked out of my shin. Thank goodness for shin guards or I might have a broken leg. As it is, I'm sporting a shrinking baseball-sized lump about an inch and a half below my right knee. It promises to turn into a lovely bruise. I also have the tattoo of the weave of my sock embedded into the skin. But that's not what hurts the most. I got knocked down onto my ass a few times and I think I've bruised my tailbone. Sitting is very uncomfortable and my lower back keeps spasming. It sucks for me that the majority of my work right now involves sitting and transcribing. I'm not a happy camper today and I'll don't think my current supply of Advil will last me through the weekend. And my teammates, while they seemed impressed that I could take such a hit and still keep playing, in my humble opinion, were sorely lacking in the care and concern. I am not one of the guys! I am a girl! I am a delicate flower. Okay, I couldn't even type that last sentence and keep a straight face, but my point is the same. Playing with boys kind of sucks.
