Monday night television's awesomeness needs to spread itself out more evenly across the week.

I was interested in watching How I Met Your Mother last night, but couldn't because Chuck has started its new season and House had a new episode.  My DVR can only do two things at once, so I'll just have to Netflix HIMYM someday.  :(

Furthermore, the DVR was working overtime well into the night.  It recorded Fringe and Intervention during the next hour, then Castle and Hoarders after that.  Last night, we got 6 hours of quality television to watch over the next week.  Phew!  This is going to be tough to keep up with!

So what did we end up actually watching, you ask?  Well, Scribe and I like to wait until an episode is fully recorded to watch it so that we can fast forward through commercials, so we watched none of the above.  :(  However, we did have like 10 unwatched Naruto Shipuden episodes (dubbed from the Disney Channel), so we watched a handful.  And we totally basked in the awesomeness of Naruto and stayed up way too late, promising ourselves that "This is the last one."  What totally rocks about Naruto is that it kind of seesaws between being completely fantastic to completely silly and over-the-top.  Both are delightful to watch.  Sadly, we are getting the Disney-fied version of this show, but even that has its own perks.  They change all references of death and dying to something a little less scary ("I'll kill you" becomes "I'll destroy you") and obviously dead people are dubbed as moaning and still alive.  This has resulted in the most unintentionally funny part of the series so far.  One of the bad guys dropped little spider creatures that climbed up various people and latched on to their heads.  Then they exploded.  Awesomely gruesome! (Though nothing was shown.)  However, when one of the bodies, obviously sans head is discovered, the dead, headless guy is still heard as moaning!  I love it!  LOLLOLLOL!

So, yeah.  Monday nights are tiring but awesome!
