Something I realized today:
The best gift I've ever gotten is a little clear plastic box that holds Q-Tips.
I got it at a white elephant party (one of those parties where you're supposed to bring a horrible gift for the gift exchange) my sophomore year of high school. That night, hilarity ensued and I went home with a Q-Tip holder.
That Q-Tip holder has followed me through 3 more years of high school, from one college to another, from one apartment to another, and traveled thousands of miles. As I refilled it this morning, I couldn't think of another item I've had for as long that I use pretty much every day.
So, deep thought for today: A gag gift from a person whose name I don't even remember has been the single most useful gift I've ever received.
