*girly scream*
Aug. 18th, 2008 10:28 amHere's the sitch:
Since late spring, I'd noticed what I thought was either dirt or poop in the southwest corner of our balcony. I knew it wasn't rat or mouse poop, it was too dry. It wasn't splattered, so I knew it wasn't bird poop, either. And there were always ants around it, so I thought it maybe had something to do with the ants. I would sweep it off the balcony every few weeks and forget about it.
Time went on. I moved my awesome tomato plant near that corner (and am about to HARVEST!).
So yesterday I was looking at my tomatoes and saw one of those bits of poop on one of the tomato leaves. So obviously, the poop is coming from above. I look up and see a cute little face looking down at me with two leathery black folded wings framing its face. Ahhhh! A bat!
I think I'll name him Bruce.
He can stay as long as he eats the bugs that come near our porch but if he goes after my tomatoes, it's game over for little Brucey.
