This may be my last Chicago crazy person to accost me.

*sniff*

I was at a bus stop a little further down from my regular one because I tried to get some errands completed before I came to work.  A slightly unkempt man walked by and looked at me a little to long.  I realized he was about to ask me for money.  He stopped and told me that I looked exactly like his ex-girlfriend.

I said, "Sorry."

Then he went into his sob story about how he needs money to get a train back to where ever it was he lived.  I gave him my standard no-cash-on-me-but-good-luck-with-future-solicitations spiel.  He wanders off.

I breathe a small sigh of relief.

Then I saw him get to the corner, stop, and look back at me.  Then he turned around and approached me again.  I hoped that it was because a new woman had joined me at the bus stop (yay witness!) and he was going to ask her for some money.

I was wrong.

He came up to me and said, "I have to tell somebody this."

Uh-oh.

He then goes on to tell me that he went home with a buddy of his and... you know.

Me: Um.  Okay?

He then explained that he never thought he was "that way" and that he doesn't know what to do.  His buddy, yeah, was crazy, but he never thought he was like that.  Then he asked me what he should do.

Me:  Uh, I think that's up for you to decide.

Him:  Because I think I want to go find my buddy and go home with him again and screw.

Me:  If that's what you want, good luck with that.

Him:  You think I should?

Me:  It's really your decision.

Then, thankfully, the bus came and he didn't follow me on it to continue our conversation.

I may never have another conversation like this again.  :(
