Bad 12 hours
Jan. 22nd, 2007 03:24 pmI watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose yesterday and rather liked it. It had Laura Linney in it, and I think she's a wonderful actress. The story was compelling (based on true events), and a bit thrilling. I even learned some stuff.
I learned that most scholars that study Christianity believe that Christ died on the cross at 3PM. Therefore, 3PM is the "holy hour." Apparently, the Devil knows this, so when he's up to no good, he does it at 3AM, the "holy hour" inverted. Very interesting movie.
So last night I woke up in the middle of the night. Guess what time?
At 3AM, I'm no longer concerned with how good the movie was or the acting credentials of the cast, I'm scared out of my mind that I'll "smell something burning," get up, get spooked by paintings that change in front of my eyes, then get confronted by a hooded figure who might be the Devil (or one of his lesser, but still nasty, demons).
So yeah. I didn't get back to sleep until almost 5:30AM. I woke up this morning already annoyed with the day.
Then, the gas company was supposed to come today to read my meter. They said they'd be at my place between 11:30 and 1:30. It was nearly 2PM when I decided that I couldn't wait for them any more. So I have to reschedule and take time away from work again to get my stupid meter read.
I'm too tired for this. :(
