I have the worst luck
May. 30th, 2006 07:55 pmI had my first day of school today. It sucked for the following reasons:
1) It's at 8am.
2) I'm really sick and my voice is all funny.
3) I'm sick and am on much medication that is making me loopy, so I don't remember anything I said about anything when I did talk.
4) The fan for the air conditioning in that part of the building is broken and the room was like an oven. Combined with the sickness and medication, I actually worried about passing out.
5) The students were almost as hot as I was and were therefore hating me more with every second that I kept them there. Therefore I let everyone out early and only got through half of what I wanted to teach for today.
6) I feel disorganized and I'm not sure if I'm up for going in tomorrow to work on everything I need to get through.
I always seem to get sick at really inconvenient times. I had a whole week and a half that I did exactly nothing and felt completely fine. Whatever. :-P
