NOTES: I don't have a lot to say about this fic. I've been teasing a certain someone about writing it for years, and it was time to put up or shut up.
It's not nearly as good as it could be. I kept it simple in order to tell the story I wanted to tell. I think that adding a lot of details placing this in a particular timeline, just to demonstrate I know the timeline, would have been silly and distracting. I've listed it as romance on ao3 because I really think it is. It's a RoyRiza-when-they're-sick kind of romance where they're just nice to one another.
It's a hurt/comfort fic, which I love like burning. I just hope I haven't embarrassed myself journeying into a new fandom writing a new pairing. If I can get away with that, this fic is a success.
