starzkiSo I ficced last night. I wrote that Full Metal Panic vignette that's been needling me to write it down. I guess that plot bunny can leave me alone, now.

Summary: She was fire and she was trying to melt me.
Notes: Well, I wrote it after a couple of glasses of wine, then posted it a couple more glasses of wine later. Which is always a bad idea. However, it's been following me around so persistently over the past few months that I practically had it memorized. Looking at it today, I wouldn't change anything. I'd be tempted to, but it would be a bad writing decision to do so.
I'm kind of unhappy that parts of it read so choppy. However, it's from the perspective of someone who's not lyrical in his thinking or actions, doesn't drive for beauty of phrase, and instead prefers blunt communication. So this was him attempting metaphor, doing it well, but he still needed to be Sousuke in his phrasing. So it's choppy on purpose.starzki wouldn't write like that, but I think that Sousuke might.
So far, the reviews have been heavenly. That's always nice.
And now for something completely different:
I don't read twitter. I don't need any more social networking sites in my life. However, I followed a link on Feministing and it was hilarious and I had to share: Meet feministhulk: "HULK SAYS FUCK PATRIARCHY. HULK HERE TO SMASH GENDER BINARY"
