So, some updates, this time with pictures!

UPDATE ONE:  HIVES

Still have the dermatographia, but it's still not itchy.  So awesome.  I wrote my name on my arm with a paper clip (the bigger of the round ends) last week and took a picture.  This is how it looked:

It's much better than it looks.  It all faded within 20 minutes.  I'm still experiencing dermatographia, though.  It doesn't seem to get as red or burned-looking, but I definitely still have it.

I'll talk to a doctor in a week or two, but I'm avoiding having to shell out for another copay right now.

UPDATE TWO: SPIDERS

I posted a link to a picture of the regal jumping spider last week.  I also took a picture of Naraku, the regal jumping spider that I tried to befriend, but who kept freaking me out.  Here he is chilling on the window next to my desk:

Happy ending to this story.  The day after this picture was taken, I had decided if he just stayed in the corner of the window, I'd be happy and Naraku and I could be roommates.  Sadly, he didn't understand the boundaries of our relationship.  He decided he wanted to hang out on my desk.  Which: NO!  He even jumped from modem wire to modem wire to get up on top of my desk!  So, of course, I flipped out.  This made Naraku flip out and lower himself to the floor next to my desk, in a place impossible to get him.  But then, Naraku got curious about my shoes and decided to check them out.  I, predictably, freaked out again and called my mom.  She told me to get a shoebox and take him outside.  I did one better and got a tupperware container (shoeboxes have HOLES in them) and evicted him to our balcony.  Success!

And not an hour later, I saw a smaller, somewhat similar spider (obviously one of Naraku's demon spawn) hanging out on the ceiling above my desk.  So I bravely went and got the tupperware and evicted this spider, too.  Both seemed happy to be outside.  Yay!  :)

UPDATE THREE: DISSERTATION

You can actually see my dissertation during my correcting phase in the background of the first picture above.  *Wave at my f-list, Dissertation, Version 1!*

Anyway, I finished correcting my first draft and Version 2 was submitted to my advisor on Friday.  Whoot!

So, there you have it.  :)
