In other news, I'm nearing the end of my first draft of the dissertation.

I'll probably finish a chapter today. That leaves one chapter left. If I wasn't sure this thing would come back with a month's worth of revisions to do (and honestly, probably more than that), I'd be almost chipper about it. As it is, I just know I'm going to cry a LOT when my advisor is done reading it and gives me her critiques.

I also wish I could write during the day. I can sit and struggle to write a paragraph from 10am to 4pm, but when 6pm rolls around, I'm suddenly on fire and cranking out page after page until bedtime. Then, I can't sleep because my mind is just going 100mph, then I have freaky Full Metal Panic dreams.

Hmm. I think writing this dissertation will ultimately wreak havoc on my sanity.
