starzkiI finished the rough of the
article yesterday. What a relief! It's out of my hands, at
least until the advisor gives it back to me for corrections. But
I actually kind of got into a writing groove and began to see how it
won't always be such a torturous thing to write. It's not so much
about knowing how to write, that comes later. It's about having
full command of the literature. Which after the marathon of
writing for 3 straight days so I didn't miss my deadline by too much, I
actually started to see how things could fit together.
Now it's time to party! All of the end-of-summer parties are happening. Most of them are more adult, home at a decent hour, dress-up affairs. But one of them, two weeks from today, promises to be at least the start of something that could potentially end up naughty/embarrassing (mostly because the Crush will be there).
I'll go on my run early today so I can be fully washed up by the time I have to leave for the party tonight. One of the women I work with just defended her Ph.D. dissertation. O.O Also, she's about a week and a half away from adopting a baby. So she's throwing a celebration. With Mexican food! And now I get to party with my advisor. Heh. I think I'll be a very good girl tonight.
I also think I may start my next fic today or tomorrow. I don't know if I have a good beginning and I know that chapter 2 is going to suck to figure out. So is the end. But there will be some nice spots in the story as it's planned out now. We'll see. I should probably spend some time planning it and making sure it all goes well together before I start posting (I learned that lesson the hard way).
