I saved a kitteh!

At my parents house, now, and they have an open cattle pasture behind their back yard.  The day before yesterday, I heard what sounded like a noisy bird or frog making quite a fuss out back.  I went to go see what it was making this loud crying, and couldn't see anything.  So I made a sound, and the creature responded by getting louder and giving more frequent calls.  So I hopped the barbed wire and went to the cactus patch where the cries seemed to come from. 

And found a kitten.  No mommy cat in sight and the sun was setting, so I took him in.  The next day, we called an animal rescue group and found it a temporary home (on the way to a permanent home, I'm sure, 'cause he's so damned cute).

It's hard to see, but he had beautiful blue eyes.

I hope he makes some person a great companion.
