better than I thought
Jun. 29th, 2005 12:44 amI fell in love on the bus again today. For 40 wonderful blocks, I
knew that he was the one for me. With him I could be truly
happy. With him, I wouldn't have to fake
it. *chuckle* But he was cute. All fresh and
scrubbed. Didn't look at me once. The two dirty old men on
either side of him were giving me the once over, but he did not look up
from his workbook once to see me staring at him. I would have
smiled. And since we got off at the same stop, if we had walked
in the same direction, I would have struck up a conversation with
him. But, alas... It was not meant to be. ;-)
I just posted the baseball fic. Reviews-wise, it's doing okay. I thought people wouldn't like it because anime and sports really don't go together all too well. But it's kind of cute and people like that about it. What a shame I put so much heart and energy into all of my angsty, heavy stories and it's my flippant little fics that get all the attention.
I do kind of like the story. I had been wracking my brain to try and situate a fic in a ballpark. Baseball is even more boring to write about than it is to watch. But I took my time with it and I think it's a nice little story. We'll see, I guess. Ugh. Time for bed.
