"She's got the shine."

Yesterday I made exactly no headway in my dissertation.  Didn't open a file or read over my data at all.

What I did do:

- Washed 2 loads of laundry
- Dug out the car from the snow (I needed 2 attempts to do this)
- Took the two puppies to the vet (which took FOREVER)
- Went to the next town over to pick up more dog food
- Vacuumed the apartment
- Folded all laundry
- Went grocery shopping (which also took FOREVER; I stood in the wrong checkout line TWICE)

All of this in flurries, freezing temperatures, and 50 mph winds.

Yay me.  X-P

"I'm just sayin'..."

I don't care who you are or if you haven't broken the law in over a decade, but if a cop knocks loudly on your door, you get freaking scared!

Seriously, my thought was that someone narc-ed on us that we sometimes let the dogs off of the leash when we get to the unincorporated lot of land near our apartment and I was about to go to the bighouse.  My heart was pounding!

(Turned out the cop was just delivering a summons that wasn't unexpected.  So it was really nothing.  But YIKES!)
