I've written of my absolute love of Avatar: The Last Airbender before. My love for the show is so pure that I really, really wanted to hate the movie that's about to come out.
This trailer looks... like it might be hard to hate this movie.
And with Dev Patel (who left my screen smoking in Slumdog Millionaire) as Zuko, I might even not dislike this movie. It all depends on Azula. If they do her character justice, we'll call it a draw, though she probably won't show up until the sequel.
I can't forgive Mr. Shamalan's white-washing of the cast, and there's no way they can fit the awesomeness that is Avatar: The Last Airbender into a movie. But this trailer shows they just might almost get there.
