"Balls." (Part 2)
Jan. 23rd, 2010 09:44 pmSo the pain in my right foot that I was hoping was just a bruise is looking more and more like plantar fasciitis, which I was afraid of because it's a pain in the butt to heal.
I've stayed off of it for a week, well, as much as I can when I need to walk puppies 3 times a day, and have only been doing bicycle and the elliptical machines to work out. I decided to try the treadmill today because I just always feel awful if I can't run, even though I really hate running. My foot was not happy. (Though a girl on the treadmill next to me said I was "an impressive runner" which is really cool, I guess.)
I've also been rejected from a couple more schools. :( I've still not heard from most of them, but it's not helping my motivation to keep working when it doesn't look like there's going to be a payoff for a long, long time.
In not-unhappy news, I saw Fired Up again today. I should completely hate that movie, but I find it delightful and hilarious. It's both irreverent of and respectful to its source material. And as much as I should dislike the main characters, I find I'm completely charmed by them. I tried to hate this movie, but it won me over hardcore. So, yay about that!
I've read quite a bit of IY fanfiction today, too. I have a non-lemon plot bunny cautiously approaching me. I'm trying to stay very still in the chances it might tell me a story. It's a bit different than my normal plot bunnies, so we'll see how skittish it is.
