Sep. 1st, 2009 04:46 pmMy dreams are hilarious in that they can be so unsubtle in their symbolism.
Yesterday, I finally started making progress on the statistical work for my dissertation. In a few short hours, I had the beginnings of some actual results that I can talk about intelligently. I made actual, measurable progress. It was a definite change from staring at half-an-introduction to my dissertation and wanting to commit hara kiri. Progress!
So last night I had this dream that all of my coworkers in my department at my graduate school suddenly all stopped by my apartment and were so excited to see me. They were all, "Where have you been all this time?" and "We missed you!" And then I realized I had no pants on and the dream took a more humiliating turn. But still: quite unsubtle.
