Last day of classes!
Dec. 7th, 2007 03:33 pmIt's been an interesting, slightly frustrating day.
On the train on the way into school this morning, I sat next to a man who was explaining why he was breaking up with his girlfriend. He said it was because "she's a lawyer and thinks like one," and that "she likes hard rock, like Korn," and because she "gets on his nerves." Dude? Shut the fuck up! You aren't attractive, you look nearly 50 and she sounds intelligent much younger so you should count your blessings. And the kicker? "We only work well in one area, and *heh heh*, that doesn't make up for the rest of it." Dude? You're making my ears vomit.
Once in school, I prepared for the last class where my students took their last test. One student was a no-show. Gah! Turns out she was in the emergency room so I'll make her write a paper later. But that sucked.
The students were great. I really liked this class. And I think they liked me. One of the last students to finish the test shook my hand and said, "Stay charismatic." Um, okay?! Maybe I'll start my own cult. The cult of Starzki has a ring to it. :) We'll all be vegetarians, ferociously 'ship Miroku and Sango, and sleep in until 10AM every morning. Who's in?
Now I'm going through the sad process of tracking down those in the office on Friday and saying goodbye. I'll be back in January, but I've been friends with many these people for the better part of 6 years. I'll miss them terribly. :(
Plus: iLa madre estara' aqui' esta noche!
