What luck!
May. 10th, 2006 11:08 amIt turns out that my old roommate and I will be in our home town at the same time for about 8 hours this Sunday! I'm finally taking my post-prelim vacation and she's in town for her cousin's graduation. I feel bad about ditching my family my first night home, but I don't want to have to wait for Christmas to see her again.
Getting ready for this class that starts in less than three weeks is getting exciting. Exciting, as in alternately being elated and petrified by the thought of it. The syllabus I was given has the students doing a research project. NOOOOOOO!
I just don't want to have to grade it. And it's a group project, which is guaranteed to piss off about half the class (the half that will be doing the lion's share of the work).
Maybe I'll figure something out before class starts that will make it all go more smoothly. :(
