Shipping meme, home stretch

I know I missed yesterday's shipping meme.  I just needed some time with family and time to chill after this past week with all of its drama.

I'm not going to double up today.  Instead, I'll just continue on like I didn't miss a day.  (I'm still a little off today, so apologies if this post is stilted.)

So here we go.

Day 24 - A crazy love triangle/quadrangle that worked out badly?

This one was tough because I had so many to chose from.

But in the end, there is one that was the worst.

A crazy love triangle that ended badly was Dean/Rory/Jess of Gilmore Girls.

Seriously, just thinking about this triangle gets my blood to boiling. 

Rory, adorable little overachiever that she is, had a great boyfriend, Dean.  He was cute, he "got" her, and was darling and supportive.  He might not have been very smart or ambitious, but they were really good together.

Then along comes Jess.  The "bad boy."  He was alluring to Rory for reasons I never understood.  He was a jerk, a hooligan, and a bit of a brat.  I guess Apple!Rory didn't fall far from Tree!Lorelai when it came to dating irresponsible poop-heads.

I remember having actual discussions before class in grad school where a fellow student tried to convince me that Jess was better for Rory than Dean.  She was so happy when Rory ended up picking Jess.

Then, there was the party with the near-miss date rape of Rory by Jess (so I heard, I was too mad at Gilmore Girls to watch this episode) that seemed to prove my point.  Jess was a dick and Rory was idiot for picking him.

She couldn't go back to Dean.  Oh no.  At least not until he was married!  (More on this on a future date.)

I don't think that Rory made a good decision regarding her relationships from the time she broke up with Dean until the very last friggin' episode of the series.

Therefore, because Rory has such astoundingly bad decision-making abilities regarding the boys in her life, her triangle with Dean and Jess is my vote for a crazy love triangle that ended badly.  Bleck.

Day 11 - What is your dream pairing?  Arthur/Ariadne from Inception.
Day 12 - Who had the best wedding?  Xander and Anya from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Day 13 - What is your favorite television pairing?  Mulder/Scully from the X-Files.
Day 14 - What is your favorite book pairing?  Elizabeth Bennett/Mr. Darcy of Pride & Prejudice.
Day 15 - What is your favorite real life pairing?  starzki /scribefigaro :D
Day 16 - What is the absolute worst pairing?  Anything incest.  :p
