Nerd alert!
Jun. 25th, 2010 02:45 pmIt's my mom's birthday today. We went to T.J. Maxx to go shopping.
I'm not much of a clothes shopper, so I went to the back to look at the furnature/decorations/appliances. I came across a couple of knife sets (even some in pastel colors!). Honest to God, my first thought in seeing the knives was, "This will be a perfect place to hunker down when the zombies rise up. Clothes, some food, and WEAPONS!"
We also went to a tattoo shop. My mom has flirted with the idea of getting a tattoo for over 10 years now and there is a new tattoo shop in our town. I'm also in the market for a new tattoo and was pleased to see that this parlor was totally awesome and one of the artist specializes in what I'm looking for in my next tattoo. I had been thinking about a tattoo to represent Miroku and Sango. I don't like the idea of tattooing people on me, so I was thinking of maybe stylizing their weapons, but I just can't think of a way that would be pretty and something I'd want on me. So I might go with some flowers (small, tasteful, etc.).
But I did google "anime tattoos" just to get ideas. My favorite was someone with Osaka from Azumanga Daioh. I'm not quite nerdy enough for that, though.
