starzkiGuess who has two thumbs and just finished two chapters in her dissertation today.
THIS GIRL! (My thumbs are pointing at me, FYI.)
I know it sounds impressive. Unfortunately, one of the chapters was less than 5 pages long and the other one I'd written before, so I just copied and pasted it into the dissertation. But then I did take the time to correctly format it! I don't know why, but when I copy and paste large amounts of text from one file to another, it makes my Microsoft Word go a little schizophrenic. All of the sudden, Times New Roman, 12 point, double spaced text becomes Ariel (or something), 15 point, bold-ed, and single spaced. But only for three paragraphs in the middle of the cut and pasted text. It's a pain in the butt, but not too hard to correct and really easy to spot when it happens.

scribefigaro looked it over, he said I needed more expository paragraphs to fully explain the setting and the slight changes in characterization (which I STAND BEHIND!) of my main players. Plus, he says I need to take some of the jokes out because "they're in bad taste." But that was the point to including those awful jokes in the first place! Plus, they delighted me to write for whatever reason. I'll see if I can come up with some equally appalling (just in a different way) replacements. I'll just say for now that it's a friendship fic between Sango and Inuyasha and a bit on the bawdy side.
I'm going to let the fic rest a bit before I take another hack at it again either tonight or tomorrow. I'll probably post it within a week.
Also, discerning eyes will discover I've abandoned Dr. Horrible title quotations for Fired Up quotations. Expect these for the next few weeks until I stop finding them as hilarious as I do.
