So I spent a little too much time last night being upset about the awful childhood of a fictional character.

I was scratching my Full Metal Panic! itch yesterday, looking up some fanfic, and I went to the homepage of an author (Crystal Okamino) who seems to be really well-versed in the canon. The thing with FMP is that it's based on a series of light novels only a quarter of which have been animated. I've only seen the animation. It's not impossible to get one's hands on translations of the novels, but it takes a little more energy than I'm willing to spend (plus, I can get a good part of the story summaries from Wikipedia). However, yesterday I followed some links and found that Crystal Okamino had translated a manga based on one novel's back story of Sousuke Sagara.
